At the end of every school year, we celebrate beginnings and endings. At the Shout Out, teachers and students in Need in Deed classrooms throughout the city come together to share their year of learning and civic action. Simultaneously, we prepare for the Summer Institute, our yearly training program that initiates a new cohort of Philadelphia public school teachers into our network.
These two epic events positively impact students and teachers throughout the city, lifting up student voices, grounding learning in real world experience, and supporting and nurturing the educators who make it all possible.
